CUSTOMER SAFETY

Smokin Skye BBQ experience, and it's owner, host or designated server, will not be held responsible for any accidents or injury to any persons, that occurs outwith the designated BBQ area, or within the designated BBQ zone.

Smokin’ Skye is unable to accept any liability for the following.

Any accidents or injuries incurred by the client, their guests, or any children, who are within the cooking zone, serving, or setting up area. it is the responsibility of the guest to ensure the safe keeping at all times during their bbq hut experience. any guests walking outside of the BBQ area do so at their own risk.

Any adverse reaction to a client or their guests with any food allergies, who have not brought this to the attention of the chef prior to booking. the guest with food allergies, must make themselves known to the chef also on the day of the event.
FORCE MAJEURE, CURTAILMENT OR CANCELLATION.

Smokin’ Skye shall incur no liability from the client if the performance of the contract with the client is hindered by any cause whatsoever beyond their control. this includes adverse weather conditions, flood, fire, road traffic accident, illness, chef accident, epidemics, pandemics, or any other liability deemed beyond the control of Smokin’Skye. we shall not be liable for any financial loss or personal distress suffered to the client if the event is cancelled on the event day due to adverse weather conditions or any of the above reasons. Smokin’ Skye shall incur no personal liability if guests or staff are injured by objects around the service area due to force majeure.

BOOKING REQUIREMENT

A non refundable deposit of £10.00 per person is required at the time of booking, which must be made at least 48 hours prior to the event. this will be deducted from the final event cost. payment may be made through the booking form on the website, or by cash, Zettle, or BACS transfer. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER FOR PRIVATE EVENTS HIRE, AND PAYMENT DETAILS, AS THIS WILL BE DIFFERENT. the remaining balance will be taken on the day of the event, apart from private hire which will need to be booked and paid for in full two weeks prior to the event. please contact Smokin’ Skye prior to booking for private hire.

AGE AT TIME OF BOOKING

All guests must be over 12 years old, and this must be declared at the time of booking.

HEALTH OF CLIENTS AND GUESTS

Smokin’ Skye is situated in a woodland, and all clients and guests should deem themselves capable of negotiation uneven terrain, to access the serving area, approximately 50 meters from the road entrance.

BOOKING VARIATION

guest numbers (minimum 6, maximum 12) must be finalised at time of booking or at least 48 hours prior to event.

CLIENT CANCELLATION

The booking fee is non refundable.

POST FUNCTION. NON-PAYMENT FEE

A non-payment fee of £40.00 monthly will be added to any outstanding money owed by the client after the event has taken place. Smokin’ Skye will exercise our statutory right to interest to claim money owing if payment is withheld according to our agreed payment terms.

LIABILITY OF SMOKIN’ SKYE

Smokin’ Skye accept no liability under any claim whatsoever arising (be it negligence, or otherwise) for any loss over the figure of the existing Smokin’ Skye events public liability insurance (certificate pinned to inside of  bbq hut)

FOOD ALLERGY GUIDELINES

Food prepared in the Smokin’ Skye kitchen, cannot be guaranteed to be free of any nuts, lectins, dairy, gluten, or any foodstuffs that may cause a known guest reaction. the chef or staff cannot take responsibility for any adverse reaction to customers or guests whilst they are in the vicinity of the serving area, preparation area, or near other guest’s food.

SKEWER CHOICES

as all skewers are made just before being cooked on the bbq, clients and guests should acknowledge their preference of choice at the time of booking. no variation can be made after 48 hours of your choice.
